The project aims to work specifically with Muslim, Minority Ethnic women over 16years, that are experiencing social and emotional isolation within the Dundee area.
Through Amina staff and volunteers, the project facilitates group sessions and activities, such as drama, creative arts, storytelling, self care and information sessions on eg women’s rights and entitlements, employability and mental wellbeing.
The activities support intergenerational relationships, as well as embracing and understanding diversity of cultures.
Women can self refer or be referred directly to the project by contacting the Dundee office or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
“Thanks a lot through Building Bridges I am doing things I never dreamt of meeting women from different countries and different backgrounds speaking to them and laughing together.”
The helpline is a listening ear for women across Scotland. All calls are strictly confidential and non-judgemental; we always deal with clients in a faith and culturally-sensitive manner.
We can help women in English, Urdu, Arabic, Bangla and Swahili and, when required, using online interpreting.0808 801 0301
