Volunteers are at the heart of Amina’s work, helping to deliver many of our services such as the Scotland-wide helpline, befriending, the Women’s Friendship group and our campaigns. Volunteers are also involved in keeping the organisation running as board members, admin volunteers, or fundraisers.
Volunteering is a great way to contribute to the community, meet new people as well as learn new skills and build confidence. We can cover travel expenses and may be able to contribute to the costs of childcare.
Whether you can offer lots of time, a few hours or an occasional helping hand, we would really appreciate your support.

The helpline is a listening ear for women across Scotland. All calls are strictly confidential and non-judgemental; we always deal with clients in a faith and culturally-sensitive manner.
We can help women in English, Urdu, Arabic, Bangla and Swahili and, when required, using online interpreting.0808 801 0301
