Amina’s ‘Empowerment via Enterprise’ Project offers enterprise support to Muslim and Minority Ethnic women across the city of Dundee. We aim to help women use their skills to start up their own businesses by empowering them and building up their confidence. We offer workshops on budgets, writing business plans, marketing and idea generation and product development.
Throughout the year the project offers three themed blocks. The first one is about Health and Well being and began in October 2017. The second block is Catering themed and will begin January 10th 2018. It will offer a RE HIS certification as well as catering specific business advice and practical catering workshops. The third block is Arts and crafts themed and will begin February 28th 2018. It will explore different craft mediums while supporting participants to develop their unique artistic products.
“One to one support sessions are also offered and will work with women on their specific business ideas and help set realistic goals for business development”.
The helpline is a listening ear for women across Scotland. All calls are strictly confidential and non-judgemental; we always deal with clients in a faith and culturally-sensitive manner.
We can help women in English, Urdu, Arabic, Bangla and Swahili and, when required, using online interpreting.0808 801 0301
