The helpline is a listening ear for women across Scotland. All calls are strictly confidential and non-judgemental; we always deal with clients in a faith and culturally-sensitive manner.
We can help women in English, Urdu, Arabic, Bangla and Swahili and, when required, using online interpreting.
Most of our calls relate to domestic abuse, we also get a large number seeking Islamic advice and information about housing rights and issues.
It is funded by the Scottish Government and we have recently increased the number of volunteers, adding to the range of language and telephone skills.
Don’t want to talk? Then drop us a line via HelpMAIL and we’ll endeavour to get back to you within 72hours.
